Nestled in the ancient green forests of the Gold Coast hinterland, Kookaburra Cabin at Nebesa is your secluded hinterland escape, built for resetting completely.

There's a different kind of quiet up here. One of two cabins, sleeping up to four guests each, Kookaburra Cabin at Nebesa sits on a hilltop, five acres of untouched bushland rolling out in every direction, with views that stretch clear out to the sea.

This is the cabin built for proper reset. Enjoy your own private wellness sanctuary: an infrared sauna and cold plunge sit below the deck, the full ritual right at your fingertips — heat it up, then brave the cold, then rinse it all off under the outdoor shower with the hinterland stretched out in front of you. Mornings start in the open-air outdoor bathtub on the balcony, sunrise easing over the treeline while the world stays exactly where it is. The resident wildlife tends to agree it's worth sticking around for: parrots, cockatoos and the occasional kangaroo drop by throughout the day, treating the cabin like it's theirs as much as yours. Swing into the hammock to let it all settle, and when the sun drops, the private outdoor fire pit takes over, the Gold Coast's distant lights glittering below as the hinterland air turns cool.

Inside, everything's been thought through so you don't have to think about it — Queen bed, air-conditioning, fast wifi, kitchenette and all the little essentials sorted. The cabin suits a couple after total reset, or stretches to a small group or family with the sofa bed in the living room made up as a second sleeping space for a 3rd and 4th guest. Onsite parking is sorted too, with space for two cars. For the extended family, this cabin is pet-friendly upon request, with additional fees applying.

Guests will have exclusive access to their designated cabin with private balcony, as well as private wellness space including the sauna, cold plunge, outdoor shower and outdoor firepit.

The property is surrounded by wildlife, with sightings of king parrots, cockatoos, kookaburras, lorikeets, kangaroos, wallabies and lizards common in the area. And if you're lucky, you might just cross paths with Sparkles, Nebesa's resident dog, doing her rounds of the property.

Leaving the hilltop is optional, but when you do, Mudgeeraba village is close by — a pretty, old-world pocket of the hinterland with the historic Wallaby Hotel, the long-running Mudgeeraba Farmers Markets on weekends and a handful of cafes and galleries worth the wander. Though quiet and peaceful, the cabin is just 10 minutes from town, offering easy access to local cafes, restaurants, including Pancho's Mexican for a casual bite and cocktails. Don't miss Springbrook National Park, offering the Natural Bridge and glow worm caves.
